In a resounding show of support, the youth leaders of Anambra State’s 179 communities have thrown their weight behind Governor Chukwuma Soludo, pledging to deliver a landslide victory in the November 8, 2025, governorship election. The declaration was made by Ken Okoli, President General of the Anambra State Association of Town Unions, Youth Wing, during the maiden edition of a leadership training workshop held at the ASATU Hall, Government House, Awka.
The two-day workshop, themed “The Role of ASATU Youth in Deepening and Consolidating Leadership, Security, Governance, and Value Systems for Community Development,” was a collaborative effort between ASATU, the office of the Accountant-General of Local Government, and the Industrial Training Fund. Okoli emphasized that the workshop aligns with Soludo’s “Solution Agenda,” which prioritizes youth empowerment and transformation. According to him, the state government’s policies have consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the youth.
Under Soludo’s administration, Anambra youths have witnessed unprecedented development, with programs tailored to their human capital development. Initiatives such as the “1Youth-2Skills” program, massive employment of doctors, nurses, and teachers, and the construction of the “Solution Fun City” have all placed youth at the forefront of the governor’s achievements. The youth leaders commended Soludo’s decisive action in tackling insecurity and credited him with bringing real development to Anambra communities, including the construction of hospitals, schools, and dual-lane roads.
With the November 2025 election on the horizon, the youths have vowed to rise to their civic responsibilities and vote overwhelmingly for Soludo, believing that his leadership is crucial to building a greater Anambra. The event, attended by prominent dignitaries, including Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim and State Commissioner for Lands, Prof. Offornze Amucheazi (SAN), underscored the growing momentum behind Soludo’s re-election bid.
